Ok...Twilight

So all of you want my opinion. I agree with Courtney, actually. As a fan of the book it was fun, as a movie critic is wasn't great. It is definately a movie for those who have read all of the books and understand them. There were a lot of things that would be confusing or things that could have been taken the wrong way if one has not read the books.

A few things I liked then a few things I didn't.

What I liked:
The feel of the movie was fun. The setting was perfect, it was beautiful.
The actors that were chosen did a much better job than I had anticiptaed they would. (More about that in what I didn't like)
They touched on all the main points in the book

What I didn't like:
I wish Edward had been more "old-fashioned"
I wish they had explained Jasper a bit more so that people would understand that he was judging everyone's emotions and warry of his new lifestyle, instead he seemed moody
Rosalie had too much of a hate part towards Bella, they should have made her a lesser character
They should have added another hour onto the movie to develop characters better
The movie didn't explain the relationship between Edward and Bella very well in the beginning. So it seemed to me that Edward kept coming up to Bella out of nowhere, after they had only spoken once, and kept telling her "we shouldn't be friends". Basically, they never established any kind of "friendship" relationship before Edward tried to get rid of Bella

Of course there are a lot of other things that would be better to discuss after someone has read the books and seen the movies. It really was quite enjoyable if you like the books. But if you have not read the books or did not like the books don't bother with the movie.

Sorry if there are mistakes in this post. I had to write and post it before I could check it.

I totally agree. Twilight was so fun for me to read because of the ridiculous romance. That's what I love. I'm a sick romantic. The movie didn't have quite as much of that. It didn't develop the friendship and love story like the book. Of course they had to cut things out, but I would have liked more character development, more of the story of Edward and Bella. Oh well, hopefully New Moon will get even better (ala Harry Potter).

It would help a ton if they found a new director. I mean, common! Who's ever heard of Catherine Hardwick? She didn't have enough experience I think. So I'm on the hope boat with you.

There's a lot more you don't like than things you didn't like.

My sister apparently loved it but then again she likes most movies even if they're bad.

Yeah, the list of things I didn't like was bigger than the list of things I did. But that was mostly because from a movie standpoint it wasn't great. It was good, but not great. It was better than good only because I had read the books and love them. Does that make any sense?

Oooh I'm glad I'm not going to see it. Have you checked MY blog lately? I updated it specifically for you. :)
