The Joy and Sadness of Dogs

It's been awhile since we've posted any pictures of the dogs because of our internet situation. But now we get to update! The first picture is when we got the dogs a haircut about 3 weeks ago. We don't love these haircuts quite as much as some they've had in the past (but I always think Sirius looks silly in a terrier cut) and they always cut Bella's face too long so she looks like a lion but they're still cute.To all of you pet owners (especially dog owners) have you ever noticed that your pet just LOVES anything that's disgusting? Things like poo, used tissue paper, sweaty socks, and stinky underwear? That is my dogs in a nutshell. One night as we were folding our laundry one of my undies fell on the floor and Sirius nabbed it. Usually we nab it back right away but these ones were old and had holes all over them (once again thanks to the dogs grabbing them and tearing through them) so I let him have it...but my way. If he wanted that underwear he would have to get it off of his butt...he he he heeee! So here is a little video of him trying to take (clean) underwear off of his bottom so he can eat it. Enjoy!



Now the sad. Today we took Bella to get spayed. Of course we thought a ton about breeding her, but at her size either she or her litter or both would have never lasted. So, since she'll never have puppies and she's a bitch in heat we thought it best (plus, we're supposed to have her spayed to be able to live in this apartment. Not that THAT influenced our choice in ANY way. They can't tell us what to do with our dogs to live here!). After we brought Bella back home the anesthesia was still taking it's toll on her.

Now maybe it's wrong to post this video but it's a little bit sad and a little bit cute. This is Bella right when we got her home trying to walk. You can see that she just can't support herself and keeps falling over. It's very cute.
