Good and Sad News
As you know we had our anatomy ultrasound today. Everything is growing well and the baby looks beautiful! It is such a relief to know that all is well with the baby. Theron and I (along with many others) were SO looking forward to today so that we could finally know the gender of our baby. As luck would have it our baby is blessed with our genes and is just as stubborn and shy as both of us. Its little arms and hands were in front of its face so we couldn't get a profile picture, and its legs were comfortably curled up under its genitals. So the only pictures I have are not very good. We have a video that's pretty cool if you know what you're looking at; though I just had it explained I can't remember what everything is. We'll be scheduling another ultrasound (just a quick one) to determine the gender. No date for that yet but we'll keep you all posted.
This one is pretty hard to make out. It is the nose and lips. The small, round white part in the center is the nose and there is a dark splotch in it that is the nostril. The ovalish part under is the lips. The darker part within the white is the actual lips so don't fear that our baby's lips are huge.
This picture is of the face. On the left you can see a thin, white line from the middle of the picture to the top of the head where the hand is. The two black spots on the top of the image are the eyes followed by the black spot under the eyes that is the nose. The oval black object bottom right is the stomach.
This picture is of the hands covering the face. You can see the little hands in fists over the face and the arms to the elbows right at the diaphragm.

OMG!!! There's a living creature inside you!!! I have a feeling your baby is going to be the cutest baby yet! I'm so excited to hear the gender of your baby! I'm guessing it's going to be a boy. And holy crap never scare me again with your titles. Sad news. I got a little queasy before I read what the sad news was. I'm glad your baby is developing normally and things are going well for you, Melissa. Lots of love to you and your growing family!
