4 Months Old

I get to steal a minute to post about my little sweetheart and she sleeps.

Adelia at 4 months:

Has discovered her hands. She loves putting them in her mouth, but especially her pointer and middle fingers (sometimes she even gags on them).

Is starting to giggle! I can usually get a few out of her if I'm laying on my back and I bring her above me head so she's looking down at me. Though the other day she gave a lot of super good giggles while I was changing her diaper in Babies R Us for no apparent reason.

Likes to talk to herself in the mirror. Or even not in the mirror she just likes to make noise!

Is figuring out that she can make noise with her rattles when she grabs them and moves her arm.

Is starting to hold her own bottles. Though she hasn't figured out how to tip them to get the milk.

Is trying her best to sit up all by herself. If we have her sitting up but at an angle she grunts and does a mini sit up so she can be completely upright.

Is trying to roll over. Yesterday we thought she was going to do it--half way there!

Loves looking at people. Yesterday we took her out and she stared at the cashier the whole time. Then she stared at a restaurant manager as she was talking to us the whole time she was there. But sometimes she's a stinker and won't look at her grandparents right in front of her.

Can now hold her chest and head up while on her belly. Though she still doesn't care for belly time very much.

Makes the cutest growling noises, like she's a dog.

Is a very wiggly sleeper. Sometimes in the morning I'll find that she's somehow rotated herself 180 degrees during the night.

Will make protest calls. I call them "calls" because they are not really screams or yells or cries. They are more like throaty protests. LOL!

Adelia is such a joy in our lives. It's hard to remember what life was like before her and even harder to imagine my life without her in it. Happy 4 month-day, my little sweet heart!
